Grateful

my life felt like paradise this morning, when I walked out of my apartment to swim some laps this morning. Thirty steps out my door and I'm diving in to warm water under a cool breeze.

This picture was taken off my balcony to show how very close this plastic palm tree paradise is to my current home.

Speaking of home, I hung curtains, which I have never done anywhere that I have lived before. This is actually home.

Some other fantastic happenings in which I found humor happened over the last week. One, I was driving through a neighborhood and drove past a couple outside. They were wearing the same color shirt and were talking as one was about to go walk the dog. Then she stopped walking and turned, and they just had this really passionate, intimate kiss in the middle of the driveway. It was so postcard with their shirts. I liked it.

Second, in a mad-hatter rush to get to work last week, I ran out the door with my hair wet, but rolled down the windows and basically blowdried my hair through the window. It was exciting.

Third, I hung all my clothes up in my huge new closet, and in a moment of inspiration from eighth grade science class, I hung all my t-shirts in rainbow color order. ROY G. BIV.
I'm not sure if it was OCD, nerdiness, or boredom, but I laugh everytime I walk into my closet.

I must read before work.
happy day to you!

What do you see when you look up in the middle of the night?

Free chocolate covered strawberries.
I know that you guessed it already, don't lie.
It has been a good weekend. Thursday, I went to yoga, which is just a relaxing workout in everyway, and I highly recommend it for many, many reasons. Friday, I went to Birmingham and went to dinner with Labryth and Korey, who I believe will be my best friends forever. Saturday, I worked from 10:30 am till 9:30 pm exactly. But when you are excited to entertain and serve and are laughing about kareoke-ing the music the entire day, it makes the time pass quickly and smoothly. Today, I am everywhere.
Also, I wanted to tell you that I would like to get a little sailboat tattoo
because i love Shel Silverstein.
That is related because with his poems, he has these little sketches, and with the poem, Needles and Pins, he has a little sailboat.
Needles and pins,
Needles and pins,
Sew me a sail
To catch me the wind.
Sew me a sail
Strong as the gale,
Carpenter, bring out your
Hammers and nails.
Hammers and nails,
Hammers and nails,
Build me a boat
To go chasing the whales.
Chasing the whales,
Sailing the blue
Find me a captain
Sign me a crew.
Captain and crew,
Captain and crew,
Take me, oh take me
To anywhere new.
I like it.
I want to tell you that I have seen ten different people nearly run into the door here at Starbucks,
because one door is locked, and for some reason, that is the door they all want to use.
I haven't quite laughed out loud, but it may happen soon.
Lastly, a quote for you. <3
"Through my optimism I naturally prefer and capture the beauty in life."

This is a sunshine blog.

Made for beautiful things.

The purpose of this new blog is to share beautiful, fun, uplifting, positive things, views, sayings, jokes, and outcomes.

Truly, it's to change the way I think. I'm a pessimist dying to be positive.

Feel free to give recommendations, thoughts, experiences, etc. I would like to help others be positive. Because it is, often, others who help me to be positive.

This is the beginning. Join me on my thought process.
